The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of extrinsic motivation of students in practical learning laboratory with capabilities in normal delivery care in D III Kebidanan Almuslim 2016. Factors low quality of education in Indonesia is due to the weakness of the educators in exploring the potential of learners in the sense of a lack of motivation of teachers. One of the things that cause the still high maternal mortality rate is the limited quality of health worker visits from midwives who have passed the competency test approximately 44% from 48 526 in 2016, was formed in the period of education. Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is an issue that is a priority in the health sector, the biggest cause occurs during delivery.
